School and Education Stationery Package
an education specification: exercise books, class sets of pens, whiteboard supplies and the safety scissors, in September quantities
Office equipment is sold on headline numbers that almost nobody can use. A printer quoted at 40 pages a minute is quoting a single sided black page from a warm machine, and the cost that matters is pence per page over five years rather than the price on the box. Every listing here states the real running cost, the monthly duty cycle the machine is actually built for, what the consumables cost and how long they last. Where a cheaper machine would do the job we say so, because the money in this trade is in the consumables and we would rather you knew that from us than worked it out in year two.
Specification
- Use: an office setting up, restocking or moving to a standing contract. The contents are published in full with part numbers before you buy
- Specification: the everyday specification, which covers most offices and is what we would put on a quote unless you told us otherwise
- Capacity: sized per desk or per pupil, with the quantities taken from actual consumption data rather than from a catalogue
- Consumables: this is the consumables. Every line is individually available so you can reorder one thing rather than a whole package
- Connectivity: not applicable
- Running cost: a usage sheet is supplied so the next order is based on what actually went, which typically takes 15 per cent out of the second order
- Sustainability: FSC paper and recycled content options across the package, with the certification stated per line. We state the actual certification rather than the word sustainable. For paper that means FSC or PEFC with the chain of custody number on the wrapper. For recycled content it means the percentage. Anything described only as eco friendly is described that way because there is nothing to certify.
- Delivery: one delivery and one invoice, or split deliveries to multiple addresses on the home working package
- Weight: approximately 268.00 kilograms
- Warranty: one year return to base on anything mechanical, and the consumables carry their own
- Contents published with part numbers, before you buy
- Usage sheet: the second order is based on data rather than on the first order
- Account: Trade account customers get thirty day terms on approval, a published price file, next day delivery on stocked lines and a named account manager rather than a queue. Ask for it, because we do not upsell it.
What arrives
- every line on the published contents sheet
- a stockroom label set and a reorder card
- a usage sheet so the next order is based on what went rather than what was guessed
- one delivery, one invoice
Setting it up
Nothing to set up. The stockroom labels in the box match the reorder card, so what is missing is visibly missing rather than discovered missing.
Which one to buy
A package is right when an office is opening, moving or has no idea what it gets through. It is wrong when you already know your consumption, in which case buy the lines and put them on a standing order. We publish the contents so you can tell which of those you are, and we would rather sell you the smaller thing.
