This page explains how returns and cancellations work when you buy from MSU Trade. It does not affect your statutory rights.
Changing your mind (consumers)
If you are buying as a consumer, you can cancel your order within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Tell us by email within that period, then return the goods unused and in their original packaging. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods. Once we receive the goods back in the condition they were sent, we refund the price paid within 14 days.
For pallet deliveries, we can arrange collection on your behalf, at your cost, rather than you needing to organise this yourself.
Items that cannot be returned for change of mind
Opened toner, ink and paper cannot be returned once opened, for hygiene and quality reasons, unless the item is faulty. Installed equipment and services that have started cannot be cancelled once work has begun at your request. Subscriptions, such as magazine subscriptions, can be cancelled within 14 days of the order.
Faulty goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If something is faulty, contact us and we will put it right, by repair, replacement or refund as appropriate. This applies whether or not the item would normally be excluded from change of mind returns above.
Business buyers
If you are buying in the course of a business, the 14 day consumer cancellation right described above does not apply to you. Faulty goods supplied to business customers are always put right, by repair, replacement or refund as appropriate.
How to arrange a return
- Email info@msu-trade.com with your order number and the reason for return.
- We confirm the return address and, for pallet items, arrange collection.
- Pack the item securely, ideally in its original packaging, and obtain proof of postage for anything you send yourself.
